The experienced Belgian netted another win for his team at the Six Days of Gent.

Friday scheduled ten races, plenty of opportunities for the teams involved in the fight for overall glory to try and snatch points and gains laps, and thus reshape the general classification of this 81st edition ahead of the final two days, which will comprise almost two dozen events.

After a rather slow start to the evening, things began heating up as more and more teams threw caution to the wind and tried bold moves, hoping to catch their opponents off-guard. Iljo Keisse was one of the main animators, showing there’s a reason why he’s called “The King of ‘t Kuipke”, and after a close runner-up in the first part of the night, he made the crowds go nuts once again, winning a tense and tight Supersprint.

Another podium, this time in the scratch, rounded out another strong outing for the Soudal – Quick-Step rider, who together with teammate Jasper De Buyst sits in fourth place, only 42 points from the top three.
