Our team will take on three Belgian one-day races in as many days.

Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen, Super 8 Classic (formerly known as the Primus Classic) and Gooikse Pijl are Soudal Quick-Step’s appointments for this end of the week, without counting the last stages of the Vuelta a España and the Okolo Slovenska.

Fabio Jakobsen – who triumphed last year in Koolskamp, taking what at that time was his first success as European Champion – Yves Lampaert, Michael Mørkøv, 2022 Super 8 Classic winner Florian Sénéchal, Jannik Steimle, Stan Van Tricht, and Ethan Vernon will be our riders for the three one-day races. They will be joined this weekend by Warre Vangheluwe and Jordi Warlop, who are coming across from the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team, to whose excellent season they have contributed this year.

“Both Koolskamp and Gooikse Pijl will be fast and should end in a bunch sprint, and we have Fabio for that. He won these races in the past and can count on a strong lead-out. Regarding Saturday’s race, that one is very similar to a classic, the parcours is harder as we take on some hills and cobbles, but we have several cards to play and we are confident we can go for a good result, depending on how the race will unfold in the final part”, said sports director Wilfried Peeters.
