The 67th edition of the event takes place between 13-17 September.

Okolo Slovenska, a race we won four times in the last five years – most recently last season, when Josef Cerny took the spoils – will mark the Wolfpack’s penultimate appearance of the year in a stage race, and our team will be motivated to feature again among the key protagonists.

Starting from Kosice and concluding in Puchov, the route will take in around 700 kilometers and put on the table a course giving opportunities mainly to the sprinters, but also the attackers will be hoping that the not so many hills on the route will help them to make the difference in their pursuit for a good result in the general classification.

Kasper Asgreen – the man who brought the team’s 50th stage victory at the Tour de France in July – Andrea Bagioli, Rémi Cavagna, defending champion Josef Cerny, Tim Declercq, Tim Merlier – who just last weekend racked up his ninth win of the season in Fourmies – and Bert Van Lerberghe will make up Soudal Quick-Step’s roster for the five-day race held in the country of our sponsor, janom.

“We are happy to be back in Slovakia, we always had a great time here and got a warm welcome. It’s a nice course this year, which can turn into an echelon race if there is some wind. We have a good chance of fighting for victories with Tim, who will once again rely on Bert to lead him out, and a very solid team overall, comprising many strong guys, including last year’s winner, Josef”, said sports director Tom Steels.
