The Wolfpack will have several options for the squad’s last outing of the month.

Our team will go fully motivated to Le Samyn, a race we’ve won on four occasions since 2009. The 209.9km-long course is stacked with rough cobblestone sectors and a dozen or so climbs, the last of these featuring inside the final kilometers, thus giving the attackers a big chance to dispatch their opponents and claim a solo victory in Dour.

Volta ao Algarve KOM winner Kasper Asgreen – who was forced to miss the Opening Weekend through sickness – European Champion Fabio Jakobsen, Michael Mørkøv, Jannik Steimle, Martin Svrcek, Stan Van Tricht and 21-year-old Warre Vangheluwe, who comes from the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team, are our seven riders lining out this Tuesday in Quaregnon for the 54th edition of the Belgian one-day race.

“Samyn is a hard and technical race, with a tricky finale that is perfect for the attackers, so we’ll have to pay attention to these moves, because they will come. We are happy to have Kasper back, while Fabio will be our option in case of a bunch sprint, so we hope to get a good result at the end of the day”, said Soudal Quick-Step sports director Wilfried Peeters.
