The 88th edition of the race is scheduled this Tuesday.

Textielprijs Vichte – one of the last appointments of the year on Belgian soil – will provide the platform for a fast and spectacular race, which will await the bunch with a 16.85-km long circuit that will be covered 10 times for a total of 168.5 kilometers. With the course being a flat one, the sprinters are favourites to fight for victory, that is if the race won’t be ripped apart as a result of the various attacks that are sure to come from those trying to avoid a bunch gallop.

Leader of the team victory classification with 62 wins under the belt since the beginning of the season, Deceuninck – Quick-Step will look to continue its impressive run of results at the one-day race, where a nine-man team consisting of Sam Bennett, Rémi Cavagna, Dries Devenyns, Ian Garrison, Iljo Keisse, Pieter Serry, Stijn Steels, Bert Van Lerberghe and Mauri Vansevenant will be at the start.

“We are going there with a strong squad. We did a great job in the past couple of weeks, we won several races and we are motivated also for Textielprijs Vichte, even if it’s just a kermesse. We will try to race offensively and hopefully get a good result at the end of the day”, said Deceuninck – Quick-Step sports director Klaas Lodewyck.
