Latexco will continue to be a strong presence on the cycling scene, after having already spent a quarter of a century at the top.

A world leader in the manufacturing of latex and PU foam components for the bedding industry, Latexco has been sponsoring the projects of cycling manager Patrick Lefevere for 25 years now. With shareholders Luc and Carole Maes both cycling lovers, it seemed only logical for Latexco to heighten brand and corporate awareness through cycling sponsorship.

"Cycling is our passion, but it also serves to promote our brand around the world and we are proud to do this together with Quick-Step Floors, one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport, with which we have such a special bond", Carole Maes explained to crowds of sponsors and journalists attending the recent team presentation of Quick-Step Floors Cycling Team in Calpe, Spain. "Being involved in this team and celebrating together with them so many extraordinary victories gives us great pleasure. Sports sponsorship is not 'just an investment' for Latexco. It is part of our corporate philosophy. The competition, the perseverance, the team spirit and the grinta that mark the Quick-Step Floors Pro Cycling Team are values that Latexco shares too!"

More than putting the Latexco logo and name on the jerseys of the cycling teams, Latexco lent logistical support too. During all the major events, including the Tour de France, Latexco moved the riders’ personal Latexco mattress from hotel to hotel, thus offering the cyclists an invigorating night’s rest every day. After all, a well-deserved night’s sleep is just as important as the right training for top athletes looking to deliver a top performance.

Mr. Patrick Lefevere, Team CEO, also shared his thoughts on the long-term sponsorship with Latexco, which he believes has yet the best to come: “I am really proud to have a sponsor like Latexco with me for so many years. It shows that we are a house of trust. Since the very beginning, we have had a great common understanding. Despite our shared success over the past 25 years, I am sure the best is yet to come and I hope we can celebrate 30 years of shared passion and partnership with Latexco, who I can safely say that is one of the oldest and most reliable sponsors in the world of cycling.
