In the second of our La Vuelta episodes, Max Schachmann joined us from the team’s rest day hotel in Asturias.
He spoke about the fighting spirit within the squad despite two withdrawals through illness, and shared his view on the impressive development of his young teammate Junior Lecerf, who climbed into the top 10 on the GC over the weekend.
Max also revealed the cycling-inspired names his daughter has chosen — not only for the family cat, but also for her little brother, who is due to be born this January.
