T-Rex Quick-Step leaves the race with a stage victory, brought by Paul Magnier.
Known for its Salt Mine, documented since the 11th century and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, Wieliczka is a small town situated within the Krakow metropolitan area, and this year got to host the final stage of the Tour de Pologne.
After six stages, the gaps between the overall standings contenders weren’t significant, which made the 12.5km individual time trial, held over an undulating course, decisive in the final outcome of this edition. The victory on the day belonged to Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates), who also won the general classification of the season’s 28th World Tour event.
Victorious a couple of days in Cieszyn, where he impressed with his phenomenal speed that brought him a maiden World Tour victory, Paul Magnier finished stage seven as the best placed T-Rex Quick-Step rider, after stopping the clock in 15:35.
