Tour de Pologne: Magnier wins for T-Rex Quick-Step

Race report | Thursday 07 August 2025 - 17:04

The young Frenchman roared over the line to capture the tenth pro victory of his career.

Paul Magnier unleashed another phenomenal burst of speed on his way to a spectacular success at the end of the Tour de Pologne’s stage four, which concluded in Cieszyn, on an uphill drag where the 21-year-old gave absolutely no chance to his opponents.

One of the season’s most successful young riders, Magnier came into the race with four wins under his belt captured since the start of the year, and after finishing a close second on the opening day, he now powered to a dominant victory after launching his sprint early, a move that caught everyone by surprise. In the blink of an eye, Paul opened up an insurmountable gap, which he kept until the line, where he celebrated his tenth success on the pro scene.

“I’m very happy, because it’s my maiden World Tour win, and it makes me proud I could get it in this beautiful T-Rex Quick-Step jersey. It was my goal to score a victory this week and I’m delighted I did it today, on this finish which really suited me and where I could show my explosiveness. A big thanks to my teammates for controlling the stage, which wasn’t an easy one with the presence of those climbs in the middle part, and bringing me in a perfect position for the last kilometers.”

“It’s my fifth victory of the year and it feels great, especially as my parents were present here today. At the same time, it’s a success that gives me a lot of confidence for the next goals of the year. I want to take some more wins and this one here in Poland is great for the morale. We’ll see what we can do in the next stages, if I can get another good result, I will go for it; if not, I will gladly help my teammates”, said Paul – who hit the T-Rex pose as he crossed the line – after delivering our team’s 20th victory at the Tour de Pologne.
