Following his crash at Wednesday’s Scheldeprijs, Warre Vangheluwe was taken to hospital where it was revealed that he had suffered a fracture of the C1 cervical vertebra.

After a follow-up examination on Thursday, it was decided that Warre must now take a period of complete rest while he wears a neck brace for the next six weeks.

Everybody at Soudal Quick-Step wishes Warre a speedy recovery.
