Our feeder squad racked up its 19th victory of the season Sunday afternoon.

One week after a successful outing at the Giro della Valle d’Aosta, where he won the mountains classification, Jonathan Vervenne took to the podium again, this time on home turf, in Borlo.

The small town in the province of Limburg held a 29.4km individual time trial, and Vervenne – already victorious in five races since the month of March, including the U23 Belgian ITT Nationals – was head and shoulders above everyone else, recording a time of 36:40. The 20-year-old finishes 48 seconds faster than runner-up Ferre Geeraerts (Young Cycling Talent D&D), while teammate William Junior Lecerf rounded out the podium.

“It was a good test and a solid win, so I am satisfied with my day. The fact that William joined me in the top three made me really happy, as we showed the depth of this team and took another strong result in what has been a great season so far. We still have many goals until the end of the year, and we hope to rack up more victories for the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team”, Jonathan said at the finish.
