Twenty-four hours after Strade Bianche, our team will be again on the start line in Italy.

The Wolfpack will be in action this Sunday at three different races, one of which is the 52nd edition of the GP Industria & Artigianato, held in Larciano, a small town lying some 50 kilometers from Florence, whose possession it was during the Middle Ages. The 199km race will consist of two local laps, each set to be covered four times, with the second of these circuits (27.5 kilometers in length) being expected to make an impact on the racing, as it features the 9km climb of San Baronto, perfectly suited to the attackers.

Third just a few days ago after an electric Trofeo Laigueglia – his first podium since turning pro – Mauri Vansevenant will be at the start together with two other young Deceuninck – Quick-Step riders who impressed in these past couple of weeks: Andrea Bagioli, the winner of the Drôme Classic, and James Knox, top 10 in Laigueglia. Ian Garrison and Alvaro Hodeg will also be there, the seven-man team being completed by Dries Devenyns and Pieter Serry, who will come over from Strade Bianche.

“We like racing in Italy and we’re looking forward to another appointment there, as we’re going with a solid team and several cards to play. Larciano is a nice race held on a demanding course where we hope to see our guys again in the mix. Since the start of the season, we have shown the same Wolfpack spirit and motivation to get good results and this won’t change here”, said Deceuninck – Quick-Step sports director Davide Bramati.
