The final, 176.2km Stage of Ster ZLM Toer - GP Jan van Heeswijk was decided by a breakaway with just a 10 second advantage going into the final kilometer on Sunday.

Despite a peloton in fast pursuit, Pim Ligthart (Vacansoleil - DCM) won the stage out of an original escape group of six riders, which was down to five in the final kilometers. Sven Vandousselaere (Topsort Vlaanderen) was 2nd and Brian van Goethem (Metec - TKH Continental) was 3rd. Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Mark Cavendish was the top finisher for OPQS, placing 8th.

Lars Boom (Blanco Pro Cycling Team) won the overall. Cavendish finished 3rd in the GC, 25" back. OPQS rider Michal Golas also finished in the top 10 GC, placing 4th (+26").
