Biography of Dimitri

Before joining the team in his current role, Dimitri was a professional cyclist for eight years, but his passion for the sport began long before that, after having played football for a full decade.

During the first two years of his pro career, he combined racing at the highest level with earning a Master’s degree in Sports Sciences, an experience that shaped both his athletic and professional development. After putting an end to racing career, he stayed closely involved in the sport as a sports director and coach in the junior ranks, where he focused on developing young talent and guiding riders in the early stages of their careers.

“Being part of Soudal Quick-Step is truly special to me. I grew up watching the team dominate the classics, so it’s an honour to now work within the same environment. Passing on my experience to the next generation and contributing to the continued success of the team is something I take great pride in”, said Dimitri, who outside of cycling, enjoys running, walking his dog, travelling, and exploring his passion for good coffee.
