Winner of the 2022 National Road Race Championships, an impressive solo success that came on the steep VAM-berg, and a rider who has shown what he’s capable of in both the Classics and week-long stage races – such as the Tour de Pologne or the Tour of Britain, which he finished in the top ten overall – the 27-year-old from Genemuiden has agreed last summer on a contract that will see him sport the Soudal Quick-Step jersey until the end of 2026.
A pro since 2018, the Dutchman can’t wait to get things started with the Wolfpack: “I’m really excited to join the squad, one of the most important and successful in the history of cycling. It’s a team that has had a huge impact in the cycling world, a team with an incredible heritage, which I have always admired.
