Biography
A multiple medalist at the European Track Championships, Casper turned pro in 2018 and it didn’t take him too much to show his qualities, just two years later winning one of the oldest and most prestigious races on the calendar, Paris-Tours. The 28-year-old is also an incredible team player, having supported the squad’s goals at numerous races in the two seasons spent with the Wolfpack so far, be it Monuments, stage races or Grand Tours. His commitment and work ethic have contributed to a well-deserved contract extension, which will see Casper remain with the team until 2026.
“When I joined the team, it was a dream that came true, and to continue being part of this squad makes me incredibly happy. I grew up watching Soudal Quick-Step writing history and breaking one record after another, so being here at this point in my career is amazing. I felt part of the family from day one, you can really feel the Wolfpack spirit and how the staff is behind the riders and passionately work for them. They feel our happiness but also our pain, and this is just one of the things that makes it exceptional being here. It’s also incredible to have such extraordinary teammates around you, people who inspire me every day. I have a lot of ambition, but I’m also happy when a teammate wins, because cycling is a team sport in the end. I hope for a lot of success with the squad in the next two years.”
