Biography
Ayco started racing at the age of ten and has since continued to climb up the ladder. Having had some nice results himself, the last couple of years he developed into a quality helper and a rider capable of an impressive effort at the front of the peloton, and now he is eager to continue growing into this role, after two solid seasons with the team, during which he impressed with the amount of work he put in chasing down the breakaways.
“Riding for Soudal Quick-Step is great, it’s a unique feeling that I am lucky to be experiencing. I think it is one of the biggest and nicest teams out there, a squad with a lot of history and incredible achievements. It was my childhood dream to be part of this team, where I felt at home the moment I came in. So far, I have learned a lot of things; I am grateful that the team believed in me and offered a two-year extension, it’s something that motivates me to keep working hard and helping the Wolfpack write more history.”
