The final day of the Driedaagse de Panne - Koksijde started with a stage over 113 kilometres. A group of 5 riders animated the stage, but was caught in the final kilometres. Several riders tried to escape, but the peloton reeled all riders in for a bunch sprint.

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team worked for Mark Cavendish. In the final kilometres OPQS was well positioned behind Argos-Shimano, which were leading the bunch. The last kilometer was very chaotic and Cavendish lost some positions before the final turn. He tried to launch his sprint from far, but wasn`t able to come near the front any more. Cavendish finished 8th, while Alexander Kristoff (Katusha) took the win in De Panne.

This afternoon an individual time trial over 14,8 will bring the decision in the overall rankings. Sylvain Chavanel is standing 4th at this moment, 10 seconds behind the new leader Kristoff.
