Our feeder squad aims to be a key player at the sixth edition of the race.
Following a successful outing on the roads of the Tour du Rwanda – where they captured two stage wins – our Devo riders will now travel to Asia for the Tour of Antalya, which takes place between 12-15 March.
The race starts with an opportunity for the sprinters in Antalya, which will also host the final stage. The fast men present in the race should get two more chances to shine, on the second and the last stage, while the penultimate day brings the challenging Saklikent mountain top finish, which will be decisive in the fight for the general classification.
Henrique Bravo and Matthijs De Clercq, the two riders who won for us in Africa, Said Cisneros, Hodei Muñoz, Gauthier Servranckx and Marc Zafra will be in action for the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team at the Tour of Antalya, where our squad competes for the first time in its history.
“We have a solid team for Antalya, featuring four of the riders who were in Rwanda last month. All the guys going to Turkey are in good shape and we are confident we can get some good results. We have Hodei for the days that will come down to a bunch sprint, while Henrique and Said will target a strong performance on the third stage, which concludes at almost 2000 meters of altitude. We believe in our chances of doing well also on the general classification, so let’s hope it will end up being a good week for us”, said sports director Eliot Lietaer.
