A well-balanced and ambitious squad is ready for the four-day race.

Giro della Regione Friuli is one of our feeder team’s most important appointments of September. Held over four days, the 61st edition will likely be decided by the uphill finish in Ravascletto, on the penultimate day, but also the first and last stage could give some important chances to the general classification men, on a terrain where attacks won’t be easily reeled in.

Top ten overall this season at the Giro della Valle d’Aosta and Tour Alsace, Henrique Bravo is the one who will lead Soudal Quick-Step Devo at the Italian race, where he’ll try to take advantage of the good form he has displayed recently to fight again for a good result.

Matthijs De Clercq, Thomas Pesenti – bronze medalist at this year’s Italian Nationals – West Bohemia Tour winner Federico Savino, Gauthier Servranckx and Viktor Soenens, the best young rider of O Gran Camiño, will join the Brazilian on our six-man squad for Giro della Regione Friuli.

“We are bringing a very strong and balanced squad to Friuli. Each stage offers us an opportunity – from the sprints to the climbs and the breakaway. The boys are motivated and we’re confident they can be involved in the fight for a good result every single day. We go there with the goal of showing our fighting spirit and try to get some good results, in the four stages, but also on the general classification, with Henrique, who’ll have the third day to see what he can do on the climbs”, said sports director Kevin Hulsmans.
