Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team riders Dries Devenyns and Jerome Pineau made it into the break that stayed away until the finish of the 183km, 13 lap circuit race with four climbs each lap, but Matteo Trentin also bridged to the escape group in the final kilometers to give OPQS a crucial advantage in the small group.
Devenyns, Oscar Freire (Katusha Team) and Jelle Wallays (Topsport Vlaanderen) attacked with 1km to go, but the gap was not enough to hold off the almost 20-rider group going for the win.
Steven Caethoven (Accent Jobs- Willems Veranda's) took the victory, with Stijn Neyrinck (Topsport Vlaanderen) taking 2nd and Frederic Amorison (Landbouwkrediet) 3rd.
