In his first year as a professional cyclist Luke Lamperti has caught the eye of many.

His atypical Californian, easy-going nature has made him a popular member of the Soudal Quick-Step, but beneath lies a steely competitor that has already shown his talents this season, and has led to him being chosen for his first Grand Tour.

On the first rest day of the race, he talks to the Wolfpack Howls about his experience so far at the Giro d’Italia, how he stays calm in the chaos of racing, and his family’s Italian heritage.
