Former French Champion once again in the mix after a hectic finale.

Tuesday brought the 35th edition of Binche-Chimay-Binche, our last appointment of the year in Belgium, and just like in Famenne Ardenne Classic last Sunday, Florian Sénéchal concluded as the best-placed Soudal Quick-Step rider, confirming his strong form in these final weeks of the season.

Staying true to its spirit, our team went on the offensive on the local lap, before we arrived at the business end of the race, trying to alter the dynamic of the race, which looked to be heading to a small sprint. Yves Lampaert rode clear with 30 kilometers to go, and when his adventure at the front came to and end, Casper Pedersen put in a massive attack that saw him remain up the road until five kilometers to go.

A crash just before the flamme rouge blocked many of our riders behind, but somehow Florian find a way to make up ground rapidly – despite the hard finish in Binche – and this helped him finish in seventh place for his third consecutive top ten with the team, after the ones in Circuito Franco-Belge and the Famenne Ardenne Classic.
