The Wolfpack will work with leading Dutch IT company Transfer Solutions, who will be helping the squad to analyse their race and training data.
Based in Leerdam, Transfer Solutions has a team of 200 experts who are always on top of the latest technological advancements. For more than 25 years, the company has been working with customers to come up with innovative solutions. And as a team always keen to be at the forefront of new cycling technology, Soudal Quick-Step are looking to harness their expertise.
The partnership will focus on two fronts, with a focus on data analysis. With our riders using Shimano Power Meters, Garmin head units and heart rate monitors, and CORE body temperature sensors, our coaches and management have an abundance of race and training data available, which Transfer Solutions will be helping to analyse, looking for patterns and details that can help our riders perform at their best. They will also look at race profiles, and data such as predicted weather and conditions, in order to help our riders and management make informed choices on factors on such matters as race tactics and equipment choices.
Speaking of the partnership, Soudal Quick-Step head coach Koen Pelgrim said: “Thanks to some of our existing technical partners, we have an abundance of data available. They have a proven track record in the field of data analysis and translating the numbers into terms that we can translate in to our work with the riders, be that in training or racing.
