The 82nd edition takes place this week, between 13-17 September.

The Wolfpack is back at the start of the Tour de Luxembourg, a race our team won last year, when we placed two riders on the final podium and took a pair of stages wins. The route will favour the attackers and the puncheurs, but it’s expected that the 26.1km individual time trial around Remich will also play an important role in the outcome.

Davide Ballerini, a stage winner at the Tour de Wallonie this summer, Tim Declercq, Stijn Steels, Jannik Steimle – who returned to racing last weekend, at the GP de Fourmies, after the Burgos crash which left him with a broken collarbone – and French Champion Florian Sénéchal will be the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl riders in action at the five-day race, which gets underway Tuesday afternoon.

“The Tour de Luxembourg has always been a fantastic race and we love being there. We are with only five guys, so we aren’t the big favourites, but we’d like to get a stage victory and we’ll fight for that. The course is never flat, but up and down the entire time, with many short and sharp climbs, and we’re motivated to give our best, as we always do”, said sports director Brian Holm.
