World Champion to use limited-edition Tarmac SL7 this season.
There has been a great reaction to the launch of the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl SL7 for 2022, with many admiring the beautiful bikes that we will ride this season – the team’s 20th in the peloton. And the good news is that our friends at Specialized are not done yet.
To celebrate Julian Alaphilippe’s back-to-back World Championships victories, they designed a gorgeous limited-edition Tarmac SL7 frameset inspired by the emotion, sacrifice, and swirl of competition. And now they would like to present the Champ’s 2022 race colorway – a design Julian himself collaborated with Specialized’s talented designers to create. With beautiful details and subtle patterns, his classic Tarmac SL7 cuts a stunning profile honoring the heritage and traditional white field and rainbow stripes cycling world champions have worn since 1927.
“I am very proud to have a unique and personalized bike. It gave me great emotion when I discovered it because it’s the bike I’ve always dreamed of and which corresponds to who I am. It is as I had imagined it: simple but with small details that are important to me. I’m glad I had the chance to collaborate with the Specialized team to make it happen”, said the two-time World Champion.
