TheWolfpack powered by Maes0.0% took a spectacular victory in Saturday’s Madison to remain on track in Gent.

With just one day to go at the Six Days of Gent, Iljo Keisse and Mark Cavendish made it six wins for TheWolfpack powered by Maes0.0% team, who as a result is now just two laps down on the leaders of the competition ahead of Sunday’s finale.

“The King of Het Kuipke” Keisse was the first to put the pair’s name on the winners’ list, in the second Derny race of the evening, where he beat his Deceuninck – Quick-Step teammate, Michael Mørkøv. Two other top 3 finishes, in the points race and the first Madison, helped the duo close the gap to the team rounding out the podium, just in time for the final Madison.

The race witnessed a flurry of attacks right from the off, with teams going all-out in their attempts to gain a lap on the opponents. TheWolfpack powered by Maes0.0% was one of the most active duos out there, and they were handsomely rewarded at the end, taking both the victory – in front of an amazing crowd which continuously gave them an extra kick of adrenaline – and the much-desired lap that will make the final day of the event an exciting one.
