Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team worked together with multiple teams at the front to bring a four rider break back, and allow for a bunch sprint finish at the 198km Tour de Suisse Stage 6 on Thursday.

Peter Velits remained at the front in the final 10km to make sure the break was caught. Two riders — Matteo Montaguti (Ag2R - La Mondiale) and Troels Ronning Vinther (Saxo Bank) — continued to battle off the front, but the work of the peloton, with assistance from Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team, made sure they were also reeled in with 2km to go.

Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale), sitting on the Sky ProCycling train until the final kilometer, won his fourth stage out of six thus far at Tour de Suisse. Ben Swift (Sky ProCycling) took second, and Allan Davis (Orica-GreenEDGE) was 3rd. Zdenek Stybar was the team's top finisher, in 11th place. Levi Leipheimer remains in 13th in the GC (+37").
