A six rider breakaway simply gained too much time on the peloton in the 178km Stage 3 of 4 Jours de Dunkerque on Sunday, but Andy Fenn still managed a top 10 result for Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team.

Fenn finished 8th in the field sprint, 1'45" back from race winner Jimmy Engoulvent (Saur-Sojasun), Engoulvent won in a two-up sprint against Kevin Lalouette (Roubaix-Lille Metropole), after they attacked their break mates in the final 3km. The other riders in the break included Benoit Jarrier (Team Veranda Rideau-U), Jonathan Thire (Big Mat-Auber 93), David Boucher (Equipe Cycliste FDJ-Big Mat), and Sven Vandousselaere (Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator). They had more than 13 minutes on the peloton at one point.
