The penultimate stage of Tour de San Luis, 117.5km Stage 6, yet again shattered the peloton and left just a handful of riders in contention for the stage.

Kleber Ramos Da Silva (Funvic-Sao Jose dos Campos) won the stage, with Rodolfo Torres (Colombia) 2nd and Daniel Diaz (Funvic-Sao Jose dos Campos) 3rd. The peloton was reduced to about 10 riders on the final climb of  Filo Sierras Comechingones. Nairo Quintana (Movistar) and the three riders of the podium then gained separation within the last few kilometers. Da Silva and Torres then got a gap in the final few hundred meters, but it was Da Silva who pulled off the victory.

The top Etixx - Quick-Step finisher was neo-pro Lukasz Wisniowski, in 88th place.

Etixx - Quick-Step looks next to 122.4km Stage 7, which is undulating, but descends into the finish.
