OPQS rider Mark Cavendish spoke with the media after the team presentation for Tour of Britain on Saturday.

"I'm here to ride my nation's tour," Cavendish said. "I've been here the last few years, and the crowds we've had here have been pretty incredible every year. But it's been growing ever since it started. I'm happy to be back here and Stage 1 in Liverpool is the closest to the Isle of Man. I'm excited to be back and we'll try and win. I think it's irrelevant who is here. Just the fact that I'm starting here is a big deal. It's going to take a few months to be 100 percent with the kind of injury I suffered at the Tour. I had with a dislocation, but also tearing of all three ligaments. It's going to take a while to get back to normal, but I can ride my bike and I've already won. I've got discomfort, but no pain. But we've got a strong team who can go for as many stages as we can."
