Jerome Pineau placed 15th in the 196.5 km Trofeo Laigueglia on Saturday. It was a tough race for Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team, but Pineau was still placed in good position thanks to work from he and his teammates. Only 20 riders were in position for a stage win. Moreno Moser (Liquigas-Cannondale) won out, with Miguel Angel Chavez Rubiano (Androni Venezuela) and Matteo Montaguti (Ag2R - La Mondiale) taking 3rd.
The other riders for Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team finished in the second group twenty seconds back.
Andy Fenn, who was dropped early on in the race, worked hard to get back and finish.
