Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Tom Boonen finished 5th in the Circuit de Nevers Magy-Cours bunch sprint finale of Paris-Nice Stage 3 on Tuesday.
John Degenkolb (Giant-Shimano) won the stage. Matthew Goss (ORICA-GreenEDGE) was 2nd, and J.J. Rojas (Movistar Team) was 3rd.
Gert Steegmans, who led out Boonen, was also 9th, and Zdenek Stybar finished 19th.
OPQS looks next to 201.5km Stage 4 on Wednesday. The stage includes two intermediate sprint sections, as well as three Category 3 climbs and a Category 2 ascent late in the stage. The final kilometer descends into a slight uphill section before the finish.
