Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Mark Cavendish was the top finisher in the 16km Stage 3 ITT at Tour of Britain on Tuesday.

Cavendish finished 1'26" back from stage winner Bradley Wiggins (Sky ProCycling), who also took over the overall lead. Ian Stannard (Sky ProCycling) was 2nd, and Jack Bauer (AUS) 3rd.

Michal Golas of OPQS went into the stage ranked 3rd in the GC. He finished 11th in the stage +1'28", but is still remains in the top 10 of the GC at 7th place (+1'18").

OPQS looks next to a 190.9km Stage 4 on Wednesday.
