OPQS had a wonderful day riding the 100km course of Innergetic Pijl, escorting passionate cyclotourists along the way. The event was a big success. Even OPQS staff members Marc Patry and Fre Pollentier, Ro de Jonckere, and Kenny Latomme rode together with the team! Sport Director Wilfried Peeters also followed the group with the OPQS team car. Tom Boonen appeared at 11:30, and while he could not ride due to recovery from his injury, he spent plenty of time with everyone and met for the first time in person Luc Maes, owner of Latexco/Innergetic, who is not only a sponsor but also someone who truly loves the riding of two wheels.
"It was unbelievable today, riding with this group," Alessandro Petacchi said. "It was really unbelievable as an Italian to see all the people that participated in this kind of event. We all had a really good time together, I am thankful I had the chance to ride today with everyone!"
