OPQS rider Alessandro Pettachi finished 2nd to Marcel Kittel (Argos-Shimano) in his race debut, Kortrijk Koerse, on Thursday.
"I am happy about my race," Petacchi said. "There were a lot of people at the race, supporting the riders. I was really proud to race in OPQS colors today."
Petacchi signed with OPQS on August 1st.
