Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Gianni Meersman finished 14th in a bunch sprint finish of the 182km Tour of Austria Stage 6 on Friday.
The race came back together twice — first with the original breakaway being caught with about 8km to go, then a solo rider bring brought back with 2km to go. Gerald Ciolek (Team MTN Qhubeka) won the stage. Simone Ponzi (Astana) was 2nd, Jonathan Cantwell (Team Saxo-Tinkoff) was 3rd.
Dries Devenyns remains in 4th in the GC.
OPQS looks next to a 24.1km ITT on Saturday.
