Tour de Pologne

One of the most emblematic locations of the Tour de Pologne, Bukovina Resort returned at the seven-day race, this time on the penultimate day, giving the GC contenders one more opportunity to fight for victory and seconds on the overall standings.

Initially, stage six was animated by a four-man breakaway, who was joined in the last 50 kilometers by six other men. Together, they opened a one-minute advantage over the peloton only for the chasers to reel them in one by one before the final three kilometers. There, Thibau Nys (Lidl-Trek) emerged from the bunch to take the victory, while neo-pro Pepijnk Reinderink concluded as the first Soudal Quick-Step rider.

The race ends on Sunday, when the sprinters – including stage 5 winner Tim Merlier, who will once again be among the favourites – will get a chance to shine on the roads of Krakow, the former capital and one of the largest cities in the country.
